1. End of the “de minimis” exemption (from August 29, 2025)
Until now, orders valued under 800 USD could enter the US free of customs duties under the so-called “de minimis” rule.
This regulation will no longer apply as of August 29, 2025.
All shipments to the US will be subject to import duties, regardless of their value.
Many postal services around the world are even suspending shipments to the US due to this change.
